This virus came on to my computer technically on purpose, it was a trojan but I was stupid enough to download what I thought was a cracked version of Left4Dead2 (gamehackstudios.com gave me this trojan), turns out it was 2 harmless annoying chinese programs, one from tencent and another with UC in the name. Additional information to what was given above - the pop-up reads "Hkey_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/system is denied"

The "tech" phone number is 1-800-418-4202, which a quick Google confirms is fraudulent.

I tried to uninstall Chrome, thinking that might help, but on reboot Chrome is back and still functioning. I can usually troubleshoot ok, but I've tried everything I could find and safely do and I'm out of options. Is there anything else I can do to...

I have been having this issue for a week now.Whenever i search instead of searching using my normal google search it shows me results in google custom engine even though i havent created one.I tried many tutorials and it didnt solve it.My antivirus doesnt catch any issues so i dont know whether it is a virus or not.Can you help??

Nothing seems to help. I have a toolbar which appears intermittently at the top of my Google home page. I am using Microsoft Edge. It has a close (x) button and can be shut down but it reappears and hijacks searches in Google whenever it appears. You think you are typing in Google but your typing is actually being hijacked to the unwanted toolbar which then searches in Yahoo. i was going this far yesterday that i cleaned with malwarebytes anti-malware the trojan or what ever it is.
for the rest of the day i had no issuese i could play search on the internet and everything.
but the only thing that didnt got fixxed was this page called "miweichnpyu.ru" that was always loading when i restart my browser.

and now today about 1h ago it was starting again.
i could not load pages could not connect to games adds where everywhere and yeah thats it.
i used malwarebytes...

im not sure if its a trojan or malware

About a week? ago I noticed that on the many news/current events websites (FOX/CNN) some additional "Sponsored Content" has appeared. Usually below the standard ads and clickbait, ads with larger than usual photos appeared advertising mostly dating sites and semi-pornographic video games. They are different in appearance and content than what I usually see. These appear in both Edge and Chrome browsers.


I have clicked on a couple of them. My browser window briefly displays mgid.com before...

I ran mbam Chameleon and once that closed, I ran the regular malwarebytes. The main virus appears to be gone, but I cannot connect to the internet. I also ran FRST and got the txt files attached to this. Please help

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I'm not exactly when I got the malware on my computer. I've been randomly web surfing while really sick the last couple weeks. I don't think I clicked any advertisements or pop ups, but I might have clicked something while trying to close the ads in my view or the pop ups.

I've tried running Malwarebytes, Hitman Pro, Adware Cleaner, and Microsoft Defender. The software removed some things here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary. No malware showed up during scans....

I pretty much summed it up in the questionnaire. I'm trying to save my dad's notebook from layers and layers of browse hijackers, adwares and maybe something even worse, I don't know.

Hopefully you guys can show me the right tools and instructions for the job.

Nothing seems to work, i have done all the scans above in safe mode too,
adwcleaner and JRT seems to give out some positive but after i press clean, it is still there.
also, the ads seems to have close(x) buttons on it. which when pressed closes the ad.
