Fake Chrome Browser Malware

Hi there. My roommate is having some trouble with this malware that seems to be coming up recently, the fake Google Chrome executables. As I haven't been able to find any universal fixes on the internet thus far, and this forum seems to have had great success in removing it, I'm hoping that you can help.

For reference, the machine with the malware is currently disconnected from the internet, and we're moving the necessary files through a flash drive, just as a precaution.
