Unable to start a browser after a maleware scan.

After running a malwarebytes scan I am unable to start any internet browsers ( ie and firefox).
I can use any other program with no problem but once I attempt to activate a browser the computer slows down to a snails pace and no browser loads.
If I restart in safe mode everything works fine.
