Start Menu Updated Pop-Up | Lenovo Specific Related Issue

I checked the removal guide on this site that refers to the Start Menu Update pop-up, but can't proceed past step 1, since I have a Lenovo, who seems to be pretty reliant on Pokki programs. It's also the reason I don't have a scan log from AdwCleaner yet, since this is part of step 2.
