Possible Malware infection, x2 Explorer.exe

I have been receiving a mutltiude of pop-up warnings from Avast indicating that malware has been blocked and resolved. There are 7 of them at a given time, and can occur every 5 minutes some times, the exact same ones, none of which appearing in the quarrentine.

On further inspection, the destination file (explorer.exe) now has two instances. One taking significantly more space than the other, and does not give a 'file destination' when clicked. It can not be ended (in terms of the task...
