Com surrogate virus
I noticed there is three com surrogates when I open task manager, two go away after a few seconds, the one that remains is located in system32. Other two dissapear too fast to see where they are coming from. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me, I am scared I have a virus. Thank you. ![:)]( "Smile :)")

My computer first started playing up in the Middle of January. When going to my normal sites a popup appeared to update for Java so I clicked on it and updated Java. My anti virus had expired at this time as well.
I have now got the current version on McAfee installed and I have done a complete scan. I have also installed AVG and ran a complete scan. I have had a friend around and he installed spyhunter but I did not want to pay for another program with no guarantee of working so he...

My wife was using my laptop and opened an infected file. It was some kind of malware program. I am trying to get rid of it for couple of days. I' ve already used adwcleaner, antimalware, spyhunter, hitman pro and many more. Problem still exist. My browser work slowly and still try to open suspicious sites. Most common is

Google Chrome and Canary get redirected to Smartnewtab.
adwcleaner_5.033 seems to have fixed IE, Firefox and Edge, but Google Chrome and Google Chrome Canary still redirect to Smartnewtab sites about 12% of the time.

Laptop infected with cpx and cdhtr.exe
Laptop was infected with CTR.EXE and CDHTR.EXE about a month back.
It's become very slow since.

SysWOW64 Malware
Since last Monday I keep receiving popups from Avast warning me about an infection in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe I have run an Avast Boot-Time Scan, and a full scan with Malwarebytes, and still nothing has happened. Right now I am running a scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit to see what it turns up.

Reimage Repair/DNS Unlocker popups remaining
Absolutely tearing my hair out with this one. Had the infection appear after coming back from a holiday and no idea how it got there since nobody else uses this PC. Can only assume I've been had off by a blag java install
As detailed I've never had the Reimage or DNS Unlocker programs installed on this machine and yet the popups keep making their way back and I have no idea where the files causing this are or where they come from. Uploaded the FRST scan results and also just ran an MBAM...

Infection of some kind of ransomware on a windows 2003 server standard edition
Hi,
I was infected somehow with a ransomeware cryptolockers or something on my folder share on a windows 2003 server standard edition.
Although i've manage to get some files with a recovery tool rest of my files are still encrypted somehow.
I dont want to pay for this since i will encourage those guys.
I bumped into this forum by searching for a day now and i hope you will be able to help me recover my woek files which their all word documents mostly.

Removed quarantined files using malwarebytes, now internet is not functioning.
After downloading a possibly infected file from the mod nexus for elder scrolls without realizing, I did a malwarebytes check and found three infected files, after they were quarantined I deleted them. My internet then started not responding. I could not connect to any site other than my college homepage, and there are no networks listed as being connected to even though the ethernet is working for all other computers.
